Description
A Victorian Conductor’s Baton.Late 19th Century. Having Repousse 18ct Gold Plated Knop,Tip and Band, Engraved Presented to Mr William Reynolds by members of the Brymbo Phil.Soc.y and other friends April 1879. Housed in a fitted mahogany case with a silver plaque engraved Mr Willian Reynolds. Alaw Alun,Brymbo. In 1879, the Brymbo Philharmonic Society was a significant musical entity in the Wrexham area, with a concert held at the Victoria Theatre on December 12, 1879, attracting a large audience. The society was well-regarded and played a crucial role in the musical landscape of Llangollen and the surrounding region. Length 54.5 cm
