A Southern India Vizagapatam Overlaid Sandalwood Sewing Box. Late 18th/Early 19th Century. Engraved and highlighted with lac depicting delicate bands of leafy scrolling vines,the lid with vacant cartouch. Opening to reveal twelve sewing compartments with various sewing instruments all over a single drawer. 29 x 23.5 x 9.5 cm.
